Wow, it’s coincidental to finish the Darilbalde considering yesterday’s Witch from Mercury episode for those who saw it. This is my fourth WFM kit I’m posting, in a row, within 2 weeks. The kit is very similar to other WFM kits, and if you like those, you’d like this. The only things that are a bit annoying is that the antenna likes to pop off often when adjusting the head, trying to move the foreleg around likes to pop off from the c-clip as the part isn’t that secure on the clip, and to fully maximize posing the kit, you’re gonna need a lot of action bases to pose the bits. At least it comes with a clear basic stand (shown in the pics)
Where the kit really shines is all the painting opportunities. There’s so much red on the kit, I went all out painting the inside parts (especially the shoulders and skirts) gray to mimic that inner-frame look, as well as dabbing gunmetal basically wherever I could to break more of the red. That and panel-lining everything, damn, this kit is a goddamn beauty, it makes up for the hellish price I spent on it of $27. It’s also just really nice to pose with.
Anyways, I’m so fucking beat from building all these HGs I’ve built and painted this year. But I’m returning to Gundam Planet this Friday, so I’m only gonna be resting for a bit until I my body wants me to back on the grind…
