Completed build of the HG Kshatriya, built, painted and partially decaled by my dad and the body decals and posing done by me. This was built the same time I built the HG Xi, but as usual my dad was procrastinating to get this finished.
This was actually my Father’s Day gift to my father. After treating me to so much Gunpla, I decided that I finally give him one, his one and only favorite the Kshatriya. Although he primarily loves Master Grades and 1/100 kits, he was impressed by this kit, mostly because it is bigger than most HGs.
I don’t have much to say how the build was because I didn’t build it, but it’s pretty solid for a kit that came right before the cursed HG Unicorn Gundam that will later be reused multiple times in the past decade. However, it shows signs of being old with the reliance of polycaps, but doesn’t face any balancing issues with the four wings equally distributing the weight.
You may not see it in this picture, but there are a fuckton of decals on the wings and I’m blessed that I wasn’t the one who had to deal with it. With the custom colors my dad put and using a bunch of decals from DelpiDecal, you might as well call this an RE/144.
I’ll be honest, I’m not as water drooping as I was with my Xi Gundam build, but my dad is in complete awe with it, and that matters more than anything.
