Built, painted and finished up by my dad. Pics/poses done by me.
As someone who wasn’t involved doing anything with the Mk-V until posing and taking pictures, I don’t have much thoughts to say about the build process. It must have been awesome, because this was a great kit to work with when doing the pictures. It’s a crime that a whole new kit engineered by someone who definitely likes the design is P-Bandai. Unless they make a Doven Wolf or Silver Bullet, which I doubt will happen, I will never experience building this kit on my own.
Anyway, the Mk-V is a behemoth and quirky, but manages to be very poseable and look great, though pictures don’t really do it justice and needs everything equipped to look good. Without those missile pods on the shoulders it looks awful, kinda like the 00 Gundam without the dual GN-Drives attachment on. Though, that’s just me being a sucker for big shoulders. The blue and white are a great color scheme, and although they didn’t provide a lot of decals, it still adds to the rather lack of panel lines.
As for accessories, I love the various colors my dad put on the gun, the shield is very stable and is able to rotate around, and the beam sabers are huge. And, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the INCOM wires are fucking terrible.
Anyway, that’s all I have to say about the Mk-V. Bandai make more kits based on this pls
