WIP
Ah, Rishetta. I remember when she came out back in 2021, I was like, damn, I kinda want to get her, especially with her alternative body option part, buuut I didn’t know how my dad react at the time, and 30MS sold like hotcakes that it was just hard to get them anywhere. Two years and multiple mecha musume kits later, I finally have her with Option Body Parts Type G01 and Optional Parts Set 4 (Stealth Armor).
Rishetta is by far the easiest mecha musume kit I’ve built, only taking me about an hour or so to build her base body and another hour to build and swap her option parts, but that also means she’s really basic. In her base form, she only has a pair of closed fists and holding hands, which she doesn’t even come with anything to hold. She does come with a bit of armor, but wow, it really is nothing compared to the rest of my mecha girls, even Neverlia has twice the shelf presence as she does.
Add on the body type G01, and now she has… well, let’s just say she now has a Big Personality™, and a cooler color scheme, both literally and figuratively. Never mind her really exposed chest, her tummy has quite some depth into it more than I imagined, which is honestly pretty cool.
Despite these great additions, Rishetta still looked pretty barebones, which I’m glad I got the Stealth Armor, which really adds a lot to her appearance for only just a few more parts. Now she actually feels in line with my other mecha girls, somewhat, and with the additions the armor puts, she looks like a low-budget Nuke Matrix Fox. But jeez, the parts they include in this small set really makes Rishetta customizable, and hopefully you can see that with the different poses I gave her with the armor. It really completes her look, and even though it’s quite pricey to get there, especially adding the cost of Bandai’s figma-like action base, you can go nuts with customizing her alone.
Since I have a lot of pics of her with Neverlia, I might as well compare them. Neverlia definitely feels like the next-gen upgrade to Rishetta, just look at the core assembly alone, they’re in two different levels. Neverlia has better parts separation, more accessories out of the box, better articulation, and overall has more shelf presence. However, Rishetta is a lot more fun to play around with, oh… Neverlia has a huge problem where her head likes to pop off all the time because of her long hair in the way of her bat wings and her connection to the stand, it also means that her head can barely move around. She’s also full of POM joints, which although means she’s more durable, fitting her joints is a tad difficult, and she is just super squeaky; moving her around doesn’t feel good. Because she has heels, she also just can’t stand for shit without a stand. Rishetta has none of those problems. Her head can move anywhere you like, moving her around feels nice and smooth, and parts swapping is really easy, it’s the closest a model kit has been to a LEGO in this regard. My only real concern is her leg connection is questionably shallow for some reason, but it doesn’t pop off, so I guess Bandai knew what they were doing designing her legs.
So yeah, this was a long post for no reason, but I just had a lot of fun putting together Rishetta. She’s really easy to build, living up to the 30 Minutes of their brand, but she’s also really fun to toy around with. Sure it only took like a few sittings in one night to complete everything, but she was really the kit I needed after dealing with the pain you call Yefuna Malkina. I’ll be detailing Rishetta up with the usual, so, I’ll see you then!
Completed
If I had a nickel for every time I had a blast building a fox-themed mecha girl, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it’s happened twice.
Well, that was quick and easy. Rishetta is done and she looks glorious. Got her painted up, panel lined and decaled, only skipping on topcoating her because there are just too many individual parts I have to coat, and she already looks fine without it, so I didn’t bother. But damn, for as simple as Rishetta is, I love the hell out of her. That sounds really weird, but, I got Rishetta in the hopes that it’ll be a nice, simple but attractive build, and getting everything done (in only two days, in fact) my expectations have been surpassed quite a bit. Getting the Stealth Armor was something I thought about getting last minute, but damn, was it the MVP for this build.
Base Rishetta and her Big Personality™ form don’t really have areas to go all out on painting with her lack of surface detail on her body. I still found areas to paint a little bit, but it doesn’t compare to what the Stealth Armor offers for detailing, which if you can see, I went all out. I got lots of red and dark gray to break the purple and threw in some ol’ reliable generic caution decals to spice her and the armor up even more. Rishetta already looked great out of the box, but now she’s even better, she’s like the in-between of my Neverlia (which I only panel lined and topcoated) and my Nuke Matrix girls.
With the amount of various ways you are able to customize the Stealth Armor’s placement, I had to stick with one, and without a doubt I was putting her with wings, being my very first winged mecha girl I have. With the customization I’ve done, I also decided just to give her a name, which I dubbed her “Moonlight Rishetta,” because of her cool color scheme and her wings sorta reminding me of Turn A’s Moonlight Butterfly for some reason.
I’m really glad how Moonlight Rishetta turned out. She definitely made my weekend, and I’m not even sure if this simple build overshadows the other build I just finished literally the day before, the MG Stark Jegan. You know what? Who’s to say I can’t appreciate both? Anyway, for next time, I secured the Durga Darkness Queen from AmiAmi at a considerably cheap price, which I then ruined the deal by spending terribly expensive shipping because I happened to earn some money for doing a favor for my family. I’ll see you then!
Edit: I forgot to include a side-by-side comparison of Rishetta out of the box vs the completed build, so here it is to see the difference!
